Tech–Gov Mentorship
AITI’s first civic tech mentorship programme successfully concluded after a year of equipping journalists, students, and community members across Nigeria and the Niger Republic. With guidance from leading tech professionals, participants learned to use digital tools for civic action and citizen–government engagement. The programme ended with a homegrown GovTech solution to strengthen transparency and service delivery.

AI Advantage Training
Through the AI Advantage Workshop in Maiduguri, AITI trained over 50 students and small business owners on responsible AI use for income generation and civic participation. Delivered entirely in Hausa and tailored for vulnerable groups, the workshop saw strong female participation, with many now receiving one‑on‑one mentoring to apply and share their new skills.

Cattle Biometrics
AITI is developing a cattle biometric identification system with herders across Nigeria. Using AI‑powered muzzle‑print recognition, herders can register animals with a smartphone and verify ownership within seconds at open markets. Built for local realities, the system works offline and is being adapted into Hausa, Fulfulde, and other languages for broad adoption.

Partnership with the Wadhwani Foundation
AITI is partnering with the Wadhwani Foundation to equip at least 80 Nigerians with technical and entrepreneurial skills for the digital economy. The programme includes translating complex AI and tech concepts into local languages, ensuring full participation for people with limited English proficiency.
